PULLMAN SLEEPING CARS
Sleeping cars (0) C introduced in 1838 in the US to provide "hotel" sleeping accommodation on overnight passenger trains. However, they were (1) commonly used until the late 1850s. George Pullman began manufacturing and operating sleeping cars in 1859.
